If a school does not give +’s or -‘s how do you know if a 2.4 is a C+ average (if required on an application??

I know someone who is applying for a program that requres a C+ average. The way this program calculates the average is usually based on the GPA and what your school designates as a C+. Some schools say 2.3 is a C+ some schools say a 2.5 is a C+. Is there any way to officially say whether a 2.4 is a C+ if the school only gives full letter grades (A,B,C,D,F) and a GPA (i.e. 2.4). Dankaveld!

typically, the “+” and “-” would be on where the decimal is…

2.0-2.4=C-

2.5=C

2.6-2.9=C+

i would say that a 2.4 is either a C or a C-, but not a C+
