I want to go to Stanford but my SAT scores are low, will I have a chance?
I have a 4.5 GPA and hold the highest JROTC leadership position in my Academy. I am also president of the Honor Code Council and am involved with many community service clubs. My SAT scores though are below 2000, will I still have a chance to get into Stanford?

If you are so smart why can’t you figure this out yourself?

Stanford looks at the whole package…not only the SAT scores. So if eveything else is at a high level, then the scores might not affect you.
However you never know. There are people out there who can have that GPA, a high SAT score, n r involved in all of these activities but they still didn’t get in. They don’t know why but that’s how all colleges are like. They look for this one thing that makes that student stand out. So if you have that one thing that will make you stand out from others, then you may have a chance.

You always have a chance. How far below 2000 are you? If you are pretty close, it shouldn’t be too bad. Even if you’re not, sometimes, some schools don’t consider SAT scores to be the most important thing they look at. And you can always take it again; I’m guessing you’re gonna be a senior next year. Maybe you will be able to raise it. Your essay can also be an important component on your application. I think everything else looks pretty good. Don’t give up! There’s always a chance you’ll get in! Good luck!
