I want to be a medical examiner how do I start?
I am currently doing classes online to get my Bachelors in criminal justice with an emphasis on crime scene investigation. I want to be a medical examiner but have two small children and don’t have time for medical school at the moment, what I don’t know is where I should go from here…anyone have some ideas?

Yeah, gotta be an MD – you’ve about 6-8 years of full-time schooling ahead of you.
On-line classes is going to be a tough way to get into med school – top students from top schools are being rejected every year. And they’re pre-med, not CJ.
You’ll need hundreds of thousands of dollars to get through the schooling.
I think you should look into this idea a little more thoroughly. It’s going to be easier for you to get the job “playing” a medical examiner on TV than it is to become a real one.

A medical examiner is a licensed pathologist. You are going to need to get an MD degree and do a residency in pathology if you want to be one.

A degree in criminal justice is USELESS, you have to be a medical doctor to be a medical examiner. There is NO other way.
