Favorite Answer
– taking away the fredom of making our own decision, this would definitly not lead to good behaviour .
-Infact we would lose our understanding to choose what is right and what is wrong
-Rules , do make us do things but does not make us a good indivisual as we become so by self esteem , good manners and facing sitiation in right way
– and also whenever rules are made we often to break them so what’s their use
– in totallity rules and regulations are useless
Basically, Kohlberg says that in order to develop morally, we have to move beyond obedience to rules and regulations and find our motivation for moral behavior in community, society or morality for its own sake.
Kohlberg might posit that too many rules actually limit moral development and therefore do not lead to good behavior.
Without rules and regulations…. we wouldn’t be able to maintain society the way we know it.
Sure… those of us with impeccable morals would do fine….. and we’d probably end up just killing those that were on the other extreme…..
But that group of people who are good… only because their are consequences for their misbehavior…. They’d go nuts!.
I couldn’t disagree with this more.
