Racism would be a good start. If we are talking about Global citizenship and people treating each other with respect it would be impossible if you hate the other person because if color ect.

Also how do other countries see us? Do they have a true view of what our country is about or do they get all their information from fictional movies or media that may not tell the truth. How can we put our best foot forward.

There are some wonderful references out there for global awareness. One of them is anhglobal.org (Alliance for a New Humanity). I’m not sure of your grade level but one founders of this site I believe is Deepak Chopra. Our world today is so interconnected that countries are definitely impacted by governmental decisions of other countries. To me global citizenship is not just about being a Canadian citizen or an American citizen but recognizing that our choices as people affect our fellow human beings around the earth. I also believe that global citizenship is being responsible here and now environmentally. There is a buddhist writer… Thich Nhat Han who writes beautifully about how our choices affect our environments. BEST OF LUCK !!
