i need help finding a map… can you help me find this…?
im doing a project on the rocky mountains. i want a map that is:
1. free
2. can turn on and off layers, such as MAJOR rivers only (not every single drop of water in the country), state borders, elevation, national parks, mountian names… etc
3. can be saved as a picture and put into a powerpoint presentation
4. is interactive so i can choose what area of the earth the map shows
i can find maps with one or two of these features, like google maps, but not all of these. it would be nice if i could use the same map for each different aspect i want to show, so its not too much going on at once on the screen and i can show a comparison between the features.

Download Google Earth, turn on all the layers you want then play until you find what you need. You laptop can be connected to the projector and you can share this with the class. Go try it and come back and tell me what you think. I think it will really work for you.
