No offense by what I say, please, but It seems awfully stupid to be sending a kid to a private Junior High School when you don’t have the money for it. Honestly, it’s not going to be doing much different in the long run, you’ll just be in more debt. After Junior high school, are you putting him in a private High School? Private College? You’re going to be dooming you and your kid to paying back money until the day you die.

What’s so wrong with a public school? People who go to public school don’t have any fewer opportunities than those who go to private school…nothing is going to stop the child from suceeding except himself

I would say to stop trying to scrap by and looking for loans/grants for a JUNIOR high school education… He’s never going to remember anything from the school other than who he sat by for lunch.

A great way to get some extra money for school is from this website. http://www.fastweb.com/

All you have to do is create a free account and fill out information about your son, and his interests/schooling. And then you are given updated lists of scholarships an grants he is eligible for. and he can pick and choose which ones to apply for.

I know that some school districts provide vouchers for parents wanting to send their children to local private schools. Though, I haven’t heard of any educational grants for primary or secondary schools. You would need to check with your school district and find out. I know in my own school district, vouchers are not available and parents are responsible for tuition for private school. Otherwise, you might apply for a scholarship for your son.
