I’m going to a new school! What do I do?

Wow no jackets? That’s crazy. Anyway, guys like cool, nice, fun, and confident girls. Just be yourself and everyone will like you. Everyone loves the new kid anyway! Here’s some uniform ideas:

Wear different colored camisoles underneath your polo if you can.

Really cool and funky socks too if you’re allowed.

Do really cool stuff with your hair. Side ponytail one day, straight the next, then curly, pigtails, etc. Wear hair ribbons sometimes also.

Pretty and colorful shoes with cool shoelaces.

Accessorize like crazy. I love to wear 2 or 3 bracelets at once and long necklaces are always cool.

If you wear contacts, wear eyeglasses sometimes. I love doing that!

Layer your tops if possible. Wear a cool sweater vest over your polo or a button vest.

Handbags that are pretty and cool are always helpful!

I went to a private middle/high school for three years and let me tell you, even though we wore uniforms teenagers come up with a way to still make a “cool” and “uncool” self-imposed dress code.

For instance, the popular girls wore the highest heels they could get away with, rolled their skirts at the waistband to make them shorter, knee high socks with weird patterns like crufixes & roses, unbuttoned three buttons on their shirt and stuffed their bra.

Your school may not allow jackets, but they’ve got to have some kind of sweater or sweatshirt that you can buy to go with the uniform.

As for making friends, you should try and join some kind of afterschool program. Also, sometimes people will just be friendly and start talking to you. I was sitting by myself in science class, when a girl told me that my shoes looked cool and we started to talk. She became one of my best friends and we still talk now over eight years later.

You’re going to be fine. I promise! I was kind of nerdy in high school but I made it, so I’m sure you’ll rule the school or at the very least graduate with all your limbs and self esteem intact. 😉

i went to a private school for two years( uniforms). Maybe they have special jackets that the school sells that is appropiate for school. You will make a lot of friends. don’t worry!

just forget about the boys and concentrate on school.

be yourself! that’s how they will notice you – it’s not necessarily your looks, but your personalities. any guy that only likes you because of looks is pretty dumb.
