I have a 2.6 GPA. Is there hope?

Study hard and take your senior year seriously. Colleges are going to look at your grades and see that you are working hard. That is going to look really good to them, and combining that with your great SAT scores (I don’t even think I broke 1000), and your varying extracurriculars, you are good to go :-)!
Take courses that you are sure will transfer into your major at a university. There is absolutely nothing wrong with going to a community college. I did so myself and now have a Master’s Degree.
You’ll get accepted somewhere but I think they weigh GPA higher than the SAT and ACT….a high GPA tells them that you’re a hard worker and strong student.
A high SAT or ACT, could just be a fluke….you just had a good day.
I had a 3.8 graduating which is really good and I did bad on the SAT and made a 23 on the ACT…but I got into a REALLY good university because of my high GPA and essay
If it’s a state school you want then you’ll get in….just don’t except the best state school in your state…like the namesake school
I saw another question from you today saying your GPA is 2.25?
Which is it?
There are three parts to your SAT exam. What is the raw score on each part?
Answer those questions and then perhaps I can suggest how you can get into FAMU.

but don’t rest on your laurels.
study hard for your senior year.
admission counselors take into account the fact that you improved a lot from your junior year to senior year
and hopefully by the end of your senior year, you’ll have a 2.9.
If you apply in a public university, most likely they will accept you if your SAT scores are higher than the score they are asking for.
Good luck
