I am an Engineering student too. My situation is a bit different since I was out of school for many years BUT, I found a program called EOPS any my school. Extended Opportunity something something…

They have additional counselors and resources including free tutors, on-line labs, etc. They specialize in ESL assistance.

If you are at University, take the course at a JC. It is transferrable, costs less and can even be taken on-line with multiple choice questions! WLAC.EDU. You can take the course here – where ever you are there!

7 out of 200 isn’t real good at all but maybe consider taking a constitutional law class or a government history class before poli sci. Or, take both classes at the same time so one will reinforce the other.

It may be that the American government system is upside down compared to what you think it is. (Most people believe their votes give them a say in government decisions…most people want to end the war in Iraq too but we are still there…)

Anyway, off track there, perhaps the best way to get to the end goal is to back up a few steps. Take a different form of American government class. Re-read your coursework for the Poli Sci class after that and then ask to challenge the Poli Sci class to take the test again. Maybe with a different view of the same stuff, the light will shine for you to pass the test.

You are apparently foreign. Have you tried talking to the professor and asking him what you can do to make up points? He might make some allowances due to the language barrier. You could also see if you could substitute one or two easier classes for this political science credit you need.
