I am going to school to be a massage therapist. Is this a good field?

Does anyone know if the demand for massage therapy is high? Will I find a job when I’m finished?

If you truly enjoy making people feel better, and you are very into your job, you will do very well. The demand will be more based on your personal talents than anything. You will build a very loyal following of clients, much like a really good hair stylist does.

If you are just looking for a way to make money without caring what it is, this is probably not the career for you. But if you truly love what you do, you will do very well.

There are so many massage therapists they have trouble making a living. People train for it, find they can’t make enough money to live on, quit (give up the license) and go back to school for something else.

If that field really intersts you – think about physical therapy or a physical therapy assistant.

I am going to school to be a massage therapist to and i can honestly tell you it is a good field whatever school you go to should help you find a job once u graduate but i am gonna tell you this, if all you care about is the money you wont make it and that is what my teacher told me shes right, me I care about what i do, i love it, its great.. i feel you have to love what you do, you shouldnt be out there just for the money but if all you care about is the money.. then i think this career isnt for you because you also have to love what you do and love what you give to your clients because its about giving love to them and making them feel good

Good Field—I have a friend that is so good at giving massage that I asked her to marry me twice. She says her husband would not like it.. But she did not say –NO…She also keeps hours at a Doctor of Chiropractor. Massage is a demanding job–but if your not good. There will be no customers calling your number for service….

You may find that you could be far better off studying to be a qualified Osteopath.

Is there a happy ending?
