how would you know if an international school is really what it is? what organization do they belong?
what are the standards? where do they base their curriculum? what facilities do they have to have? what organization do they need accreditation to?

I found this site:
http://www.acswasc.org/index.htm
for an organization that accredits schools and has worked with the University of California as well as schools in East Asia, and who knows where else.
I think you’ll have to really investigate the organization that accredits the school you are interested in. Take a look at their accreditation process. The site I found gives information about the steps to accreditation and the standards schools must meet. Perhaps a school in your area–one that you respect, of course– could give you some help with this.
