how many years of college for a speech therapist?

Four years of college plus two years of graduate school. For those who have a bachelor’s degree in another field, the graduate programs are usually three years in order for the student to take their prerequisite classes. The other option is to take the prerequisite classes before or as the student is applying to graduate school.

There’s more that needs to be done though besides graduate school in order to become certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association (clinical hours, certification and lisencing), but the amount of work is worth it.
