Online research is faster and it provides a much larger store of information than does a brick and mortar library, however,

information gathered on the internet is not of the best quality and one MUST verify all information before using it as data.

Internet research does provide locations of real information for verification purposes.

In short, don’t believe anything that you see on an internet search unless you can verify that information with a REAL source.

It’s hard to say. Some people say that since anything can get posted on the internet, online sources aren’t reliable. Yet there have been many situations when books have not been reliable either.

But overall, I think books/magazines/newspapers are generally considered more credible.

Are you working on an assignment that requires you to go to the library vs. the internet?

Information tends to be more current and not as in depth as in a library.
