I read novels quickly. I read the adventure & dialogue, but HATE the descriptions. I hate the “climbing vines over the green gables” business (ick!!). I like the characterizations & the actions & the plots.

I read nonfiction quickly, too. I love to underline. It helps me get the ideas into my head quickly, so I underline most of the book. I never repeat the book. I read continuously, if I’m reading it for fun, until I’m tired that day, or need to do another task, like the laundry or cooking. I read according to the teacher’s rules if I’m reading for a class, but then I read other books, the recommended books, too, quickly, for extra credit, while I’m waiting to read the next assigned chapter.
