How do you pronounce “maths”? Is the “s” silent? I can’t seem to pronounce it with the “s”.

I may be moving to the UK and that is just one of those insignificant details that is nagging me! Thanks!

Just make the “th” roll in to the “s”

Don’t pronounce “th” at the end and then put an “s”

pronounce it like “mathz”

If you are from a country in which you don’t pronounce the “S” in a plural noun, try to say the word “maths” (or any other English plural noun) as you see it. Try your hardest to IMAGINE that it’s not a plural, and eventually you’ll start pronouncing the “S” automatically, without thinking.

The “S” is not silent. I heard it a few times when watching “Bromwell High.” LOL
