How do you delete a rating on Ratemy teachers.com?

It does teach a lesson that we all have to learn and that is to “think before you speak”. We have all done things that we have regretted. You have apparently said (or rated) your teacher in an unkind way.

The bigger question is, “What are you going to do about it?” I realize that you probably felt that way when you wrote it or maybe you just felt like being mean that day. That, of course, does not make you a mean or bad person, merely one who has done something mean or bad.

So, don’t worry about the rating. One rating by itself, will not get your teacher fired or lose his or her job. But rather, think about what you could do to make up for this action which you obviously now feel was incorrect and about which you feel some remorse.

My recommendation is to reflect on what the teacher did to make you feel angry or mean. Could you have done anything differently? How will you grow from this experience? What can you do to make amends to the teacher? (Because afterall, you did say those things). Perhaps a letter of apology would be in order. You can state what you did, why you did it, how it made you feel, how it might have affected the person you offended, and you could offer some sort of compensation for your act. (Perhaps you could offer to wash down her white boards for a week or help in some other way in the classroom.) You’re standing up to your mistake here is good, to the teacher even better.
