How do teach a mentally challenged adult to wipe their behind after bm?

It all depends on their learning styles but I’ve found that constant repetition of steps can help. You can also put up some visual cues, like a picture of each step (with a cartoon drawing). Have them verbalize what they’re doing each step of the way to improve recall. Outside of the toilet, a person can write down the steps (or just say them) and problem-solve. Hope that helps!

Wow..where do I start….well for one I suggest that you keep some moist towelletes or baby wipes around……it probably wouldn’t hurt to even use paper towels if your plumbing will handle it …cuz let’s face it they need all the help they can…good luck
