How Do I Set up A transfer From ny highschool to a Florida HIghschool?
Well the thing is im gonna be a senior in september in Ny and i need to know what i need to do to transfer to florida state and the chances of me gradjuating.Im gonna be 18 when school starts so its hard to set it up now because of my mom and shes my legal guardian.Im good in school and i only have to take 12th grade english and math for majors in ny and i got 3 art classes for extra credits and gym and lunch usual stuff.We have 8 periods in our school and im looking to take 6 and ill have enough credits to gradjuate. I just want to know how to because i wanna plan on transferring now or on christmas break and what should i do to make this work.
thats my situation i just need to know what,when,and how to do it without risking another yr in highschool.

Do you know for sure where you’re going to be living? If so, call the guidance department there and talk with a guidance counselor. They shouldn’t need your mom’s permission in order to talk to you. (To register you, yes, but not to talk to you.) Unfortunately, you’ll have to meet their requirements, no matter what your current school’s requirements are. There are different graduation requirements from state to state, and even within the same state there are different requirements between schools. If there aren’t any counselors to talk to at this time of the summer, the other thing you can do is try to find the school’s website, which often lists the requirements.
Another thing you can do to help the situation is go to your current school and ask for a transcript. They are unlikely to require your mom’s permission just to give you that. (I’m assuming that she either won’t give it or you don’t want her to know.) Then you can make copies to send ahead if they ask for it.
