How do I make quick money? I need to pay for college!!?

Don’t suggest porn or anything stupid like that please. It’s serious. Without paying for it, I won’t be able to attend college this year.

I think most people have answered your question rather well. “Quick money” for college tuition would have to come from a loan. Applying for financial aid from the FAFSA website is also an option, however, there’s no telling how soon you need it and how soon your school can process your information.

But don’t give up hope! You can still manage a solution. First, think about how much your costs will be: tuition, room & board, books, and supplies. Once you have a ballpark figure, go online and research how to get a student loan. Again, FAFSA is a good place to do this. Next, think about how many credits you’re taking this semester. If you have between 12 – 15, consider getting a 15 – 20 hour part-time job. Of course, this won’t help you pay for everything right away, but you can do this now to save up and have next semester’s finances paid off.

And of course, don’t neglect the opportunity for grants and scholarships. Even though you may think it unlikely, you really never know what you can get! According to my sources, many colleges actually lose scholarship donors when enough eligible students don’t apply for scholarships. Most of the time the students just don’t know they are there! So do yourself a favor and look into this also. It really can’t hurt.

I also strongly suggest you set up an appointment to talk with someone in the financial aid office of your school. Their job is to help students like you pay for college, and they can certainly direct you to resources you may not have even thought of.

I truly hope this was somewhat helpful, and good luck in paying for school. Stay positive and open to all ideas!

Yours Truly,

Socrates

I’ve never understood why students and their parents have such a stuck on taking out loans. There is not much you can do in a month to pay for school.

Sallie Mae

Nellie Mae

Key Bank

These are all very reputable and reliable student loan sources. You may need a cosigner but it is well worth it and you can either pay a monthly balance while in school, pay interest payments and defer the principle until after college or defer all payments until after college.

It is a good way to start to build credit through paying a monthly balance after college. You will learn the value of a dollar and know the ins and outs of loans.

If you don’t think this is plausible, get a part-time job while in school. You could easily work 15 hours/week while going full-time and get a good jump on paying for school each month.
