How do I get good grades in school?

My dad said if I want an iPod, camera, or guitar or anything, I have to get good grades. How do I do that? Any tips? I’m in 8th grade now.

Always study, but figure out which subject you think will be the worse for you can ask that teacher if there is a day where you can stay after school to get help. The teacher will probably have a day were you can get help from them. Also talk to your fellow classmates they can help you. When you do your homework, set up an area in your room or your house for your homework and then tell your friends that between say 3-5 p.m., you can’t be available. Not means no phone calls, no computer, no visits unless they are really going to help you with your homework. Then get a timer and set it for a certain amount of time and work until it goes off, even if you are not done yet. Then take a 10-15 minute break, afterwards go back to the homework on the next subject. If you finish before the timer goes off, go over everything, just to make sure it is right. When you have gone through everything once, no go back and finish anything that was completed. And don’t put off big projects until a week before it is due. Work on the project a little everyday. Hope you can get some of your things.

Well the most important thing that teachers love is when you pay attention in their class. Don’t be disrespectful (ex. make paper airplanes, spit balls, or anything like that). Do your homework for each class every night, and study for tests. Tests are usually worth a lot of points, and can be a huge help to your grade if you get a good score. Make sure you always pay attention to the teacher, because he/she will often give you tips on the first day of school that will help you get good grades.Pay attention, do your homework, and study!

Well, there’s the obvious answer: study.

But also:

1. The biggest issue in getting good grades is often the courses you register for. Pick courses based on the teachers, not the course description. I’ve been through courses that sounded good but had a rotten teacher, and they turned out horribly. I’ve also taken terrible-sounding courses with good teachers and ended up with As.

2. Don’t overload on AP courses. You might think they look good now for college, but they won’t look good if you’ve gotten all Ds because they were all too demanding to be taken care of properly.

3. Sign up for a leisurely course or two- you know, like Computer Graphics or Jewelry 101. It helps to relieve stress, and less stress is better for your grades.

4. In short, work to your level. Don’t take only easy courses, but don’t kill yourself, and talk to people who have already been to the High School. Their advice is pretty valuable.

Make sure you do all your homework and study a little bit every night for each subject set apart maybe 20-30 min each night to study. By studying this way instead of an all night-er it will help you remember things better. If you have a class that is hard for you bring your notes home every night and reread or recopy them. There are certain tests you can take that tell you how you learn and that might help you in studying.

Do your homework. Dedicate two hours after school/extra cirriculars EVERY NIGHT to do you your homework. Then go over it with a friend or parent to make sure your answers are correct. Study for your tests, both by yourself and in groups, because they help in different ways. Participate, and take good notes so if you get stuck later, you have something to look bakc at. If you are still struggling, ask a teacher if they have any ideas that could help you master the material.

Let me tell you, math does not come easy to me. But I’m working really hard at it this year and so far my grade will be A instead of last year’s C+. Also, I got A+ in Biology last year b/c of how hard I studied. I stayed up for those tests nights on end.

That’s how you get good grades – Study, study, study!

don’t study like a nerd. u have to know the study method. if u control the idea, u can get good grades without study all day and the other hand you can still have fun.

take good notes in class, study the notes at night on the same day it is taken. wow, this could be forever if I keep explaining.

If u like to read, I recommand a book that will help u

Well i just finished 8th grade.

All you have to do is study a lot, listen to what the teacher says ,and make sure you do all your assignments.

If you ever need help with the assignment make sure always ask for help. Never just try to get it by yourself.
