How do I calculate this kind of GPA?! Please help…?
This is a math question…say after taking 100 units I have a GPA of 2.4 from those 100 units, the following semester I take 16 units and achieve a 3.4 GPA from those 16 units…what is my overal GPA from both those GPA’S? How do you calculate this?
Ok….now…same question but swapped numbers: This is a math question…say after taking 100 units I have a GPA of 3.4 from those 100 units, the following semester I take 16 units and achieve a 2.4 GPA from those 16 units…what is my overall GPA from both those GPA’S? How do you calculate this?
Please show the work or tell me how this is done. Thanks.

GPA = grade point average…the math is the same as calculating any other weighted average.
First Scenario:
100 units X GPA 2.4 = 240 “points”
16 units X GPA 3.4 = 54.4 “points”
Total points/Total units = overall GPA
294.4/116 = 2.54 GPA
For your second scenario:
100 units X 3.4 GPA = 340 “points”
16 units X 2.4 GPA = 38.4 “points”
378.4/116 = 3.26 GPA
