How do college grants work?
Do you recieve a check made out with your name or is it made out to the college where you’re attending?
I am soo confused … guidance would be appreciated :]

Grants are basically free money that you do not have to pay back. They are needs based primarily – based on your household income.
Grants are made out to the school or institution that you attend. If the grant exceeds the amount needed for expenses, the school will reimburse you the difference.
Hope that helps.

grants are free money tht u receive to pay for school. once u have applied all info is forwarded to the school of ya choice and everyrhing is handled from there.. u have a clean account at the end of the year or semester the funds that were left, will be sent to u n the form of a check

With my grants, they made me fill out a form so they knew which college I was attending and it was given to the college.

It goes to the college and a grant normally does not have to be repaid
