How can I make my college essay stand out from others?
I want to write something unique that will grab the attention of the reader. There is nothing worse than reading something that you have heard before or is simply boring. Any ideas? I am stuck at the moment…

Take a family anecdote, one that every time you tell it, people laugh, and start with that. Then explain how that relates to your life, and what makes you an asset to the college. Because it is unique to you, and personal, it will make interesting reading, and because it is familiar to you, it will make it easier for you to start writing. Humor always helps!

I agree with the girl ABOVE ME….my personal statement wuz SPECTACULAR but it wuz something everyone else does…..the anecdote she suggested sounds good…just make sure with whatever u do u make it relate to how it will help you through college OR how it helped you choose this school…..or something…..
