how can i do better in school?

First, PAY ATTENTION IN SPELLING CLASS!

It sounds like your spelling skills are lacking no offense. I would suggest getting extra help with that in school. Read more books. Reading builds your vocabulary and obviously helps you become a better reader. I know it may be weird or difficult to ask for extra help .. but do it. It will pay off in the long run. In class .. try to take in as much as you can. Ask questions. Who cares if other people think your question is dumb. The point is you want to better yourself and by doing that you need to ask questions and pay attention in school.

Get your homework done as soon as you come home from school. Doing your homework is a repeat of that days lesson. It also brings your grade up. If you’re doing poorly on tests the homework can help your grade out a huge deal.

Talk to your guidence counselor. Maybe she can hook you up with a tutor or your teachers after school so they can explain things to you privately. (So you don’t have that weird everyone’s looking at me and thinks I’m dumb thing in class.)

Well, you have to study more often. Keep up with your work, and try not to finish it at the last moment. Revise your lessons daily. I assure you that you will improve. Also, don’t be afraid to ask questions when you didn’t understand. As the old Chinese saying says:

“A person who asks a question is a fool for 5 minutes; a person who never asks questions for ever.”
