How am i supposed to write this commencement address?
“prepare a commencement address as if your speeaking to the graduating clas. This farewell speech should acknowledge the importance of the ceremony & honor the grads. It sohuld also pay respect to the past, but focus on the future. Choose examples and illustrations that celebrate the collective experiences of the audience members.”
i need some examples. i understadn how to write it, but i dont really know what to write.

Importance of Ceremony:
Why do you like ceremonies? Why do we get everybody together in a gym to just receive a piece of paper? Is there something more to it than just a gathering?
Honor the Grads:
Has this graduating class accomplished something unique? They’ve accomplished graduating school…that’s something. What hardships have they overcome?
Respect the Past:
You’ve already done that above…the past of the graduates. Maybe say something about the past of the school.
Focus on the Future:
Where are the grads going? More school? Work? What can they look forward to? What challenges will they meet? What advice can you give to those who are going to meet challenges?
You can sprinkle that with specific examples of accomplishments or challenges of grads, whom you know.
