Can anyone give me ways of how reason does not lead to truth?

Maybe this is a poor example, but I think it’s close. Here’s a brain teaser:
A man and his son were in an automobile accident. The man died on the way to the hospital, but the boy was rushed into surgery. The emergency room surgeon said “I can’t operate, that’s my son!”
Reason would probably tell you that the doctor is a male and that somebody must be lying or there’s some step-son thing going on. But reason would take you away from the truth — that in this case, the doctor is a female.

If you want ways to reason that don’t lead to the truth, you need to speak with a narcissist…. the truth is not in them about anything.
