2.why should the coarse adjustment knob not be used in high power objective?
3. differentiate between magnifying power and resolving power
4. ways of proper handling and caring for the microscope

2. because it can push into the glass and crack the slide.
4. alway carry the scope by the arm with a hand under the base, and always be sure to put the objectives back to scanning power when putting away the scope. Also clean any emersion oil off the stage and objective with lens paper.
2. The coarse adjustment knob moves the platform too quickly for the highest power objective. It makes it very difficult to focus and may cause you to contact the slide with the lens.
3. Magnifying power is how large you can make an object. In other words, it’s how much you can zoom in on the microscope slide. Resolving power is essentially the ability to distinguish between two points. For example, light microscopes are limited by the resolving power of light; they can only zoom in so far before the image becomes irrevocably blurry. To get more detail at higher magnifications, one must use an electron microscope which has much greater resolving power (due to the wavelength of electrons).
4. Always carry it by the neck. Clean the highest magnification lens when used with oil. etc…See above.
