The revenue for selling units is R=3y squared-2y+5 and the cost fo producing Y units is c=y squared+y-3. Find the expression that represents profit.

Yes…. 9p+4 is correct…. GOOD JOB!! :o)

Profit = Revenue – Cost

P = R – C

P = (3y^2 – 2y + 5) – (y^2 + y – 3)

P = 3y^2 – 2y + 5 – y^2 -y +3

P = 3y^2 – y^2 -2y – y + 5 + 3

P = 2y^2 -3y + 8

If your answer for P is positive, that means you made a profit…
