Help. I’m a 30 year old single mom and I don’t know what career to go into, any advice?

This is a serious question. At the moment I take care of my son, uncle and grandfather. But I need to go back to school and get a degree in something but I don’t know what to pick.

The easiest thing for you to do is to sit down and determine what it is that you enjoy doing. Everyone here can tell you to do certain jobs cause they will earn you great money or because they have a great schedule. But the truth of the matter is, if you don’t like what you are doing, reguardless of the money that you make, you are going to have a lot more stress in your daily life. You have enough things to take care of right now so you don’t need the added stress of a job that you don’t like. I suggest to sit down and make a list of some of the things that you like to do. Research those jobs on the internet or by talking to people who are in those particular fields of work. Narrow down your list based upon which jobs sound good to you. Then i would suggest that you look into what it is going to take you, as far as time and money and shcooling goes, and then narrow your choices down after that based upon what you are willing to go through for that job and then what you can afford to go through right now. Also, look at the pros and cons of each job. If the cons outweigh the pros, then i wouldn’t go for that job. Then i would suggest looking at how much flexibility that each job has. And then narrow your list down even more. Once you have a few different jobs left on that list, choose from one of those and then start working towards getting your degree in that field. I know it sounds like a lot of work for you and a little bit of stress as well, but in the long run of things, it will be much better on you and you will be much happier too. You won’t have to deal with the stress of dealing with a job that you don’t like. I hope that this helps you out and good luck to you in your job search and taking care of your family. God bless and take care.

Sounds like you might want to try nursing. Your already taking care of ppl in your family. If you need something quick that pays ok try calling some nursing homes/hospitals/Red Cross and take the STNA classes..State Trained Nurses Aid. Sometimes they offer them free/if you pass you work for the facility that taught your classes for a lower rate of pay for a yr. or so. In a community college the classes cost about $1000. The class is about 2 weeks full time and you take a standardized test. The pay ranges I’ve seen starting at $10-$15 per. hour. This is in Ohio… I’m going to give it a try myself… Good luck and be well.

give the nursing career a try a;thought anything dealing with people might work

Here is what I would do

I would surround myself with the things I like to do, the things I think I do well and do for free and very good at or if people are always asking me to give information build them something or always need me to go a certain project because they feel am i feel i do the best job possible that is the direction i would go

financial services is a great place to be. it, much like the medical field, is a booming industry thanks to the baby boomers. also the public is becoming more and more aware of how important it is to start participating in retirement plans early on in life due to the instability of social security. though they are more aware of the need to start early, this doesn’t mean they know what to do. so more financial consultants are needed to educate the consumer on how to manage their money. also, working with investments can create a residual income that last well into your own retirement.

You should study medical transcription, it is something that you can do that has flexibility and you can get a pretty decent paycheck, plus you can work from home and take care of your family.

This is very hard. There are so many jobs out there.

Pick one. If you don’t like any of these jobs. I have a few websites. I’m not sure if they’re real. but you can try.

It really all depends on your self esteem, self confidence, and what it is you really love doing.
