gre or ielts?

They are 2 different kind of test.

IELTS is a language test but GRE is mainly used when you want to study in the US and it has math questions and….

So if you are sure that you want to go to the US you should take the TOEFL and the GRE test and if you don’t want to go to the US don’t waste your money on taking the GRE test. Although in some US universities they do accept the IELTS exam incase you didn’t take a TOEFL exam but you have really a low chance.

So you should first select the place you want to go

I’ve never heard of the IELTS… In the United States the GRE is used a lot. The GMAT is used for more business-oriented disciplines, and the LSAT and MCAT are used by law schools and medical school, respectively.
