does getting your ged mean u get paid higher at a job or would u still be getting minimum waige

That depends ENTIRELY on your employer. Do they have a policy about paying extra wages because you hold a GED? Generally, if the answer is no, you may qualify for a much better job because you hold a GED.

In general, the more education you have, the better chances you have to qualify for a higher-paid position.

depends on the job. Some better paying jobs you cant even get if you dont have a ged. I know someone who lost there job because they changed the policy and she did not have a GED or high school diploma. So if you want job security get your GED, they can use any reason to get rid of you and this is one of them.

Depends on the job. Having a GED will open a bit more job opportunities, but generally speaking, not the best paying jobs…There are exceptions, but there is a lot of evidence against them. I guess I wouldn’t expect to make terribly much more than you currently are, but I’d recommend trying to get it anyway.

I would say that employers look upon your efforts and by taking the GED you at least graduated. So it is better that not graduating at all. I would imagine that would boost your income level somewhat and also open the possibities of trade school or community college?
