Freshmen Year At High School!! Can Someone Help?

People like people who are, cool, fun, confident, funny, nice and friendly. So be that. To meet more people, join a club, team, or run for office. High school is pretty fun but you have to balance both fun and schoolwork.

If you dont want to carry around a bag then don’t carry more than two textbooks at a time. Otherwise you’ll look overloaded and that’s never attractive. If you need to ask someone a question about the school ( like where’s the bathroom) dont ask someone who looks older than you, like a senior. Ask someone who looks about your age or ask a teacher.

Walk around confidently. Always look like you know where you’re going. You dont want to be the scared new kid.

Congratulations on making it to high school! I’m going to be a junior this year. I was pretty shy my freshman year and a little scared about making new friends as well. The key is to walk in with a positive attitude and confidence. Introduce yourself to your new classmates when you walk in the classroom. Be friendly to everyone. Join clubs, maybe a sports team. Really get involved in events going on at your school (one of the best ways to make friends with the same interests).

As far as academics go, always get your homework turned in ontime. Do your best work and always do extra credit when it is offered. Participate regularly in discussions, etc. Sometimes participation is part of your grade in some classes.

My advice: be yourself, be friendly, dont be a ***** or stuck up, dont sell yourself off as a cheap little whore, do good in classes because that can hurt you in the long run, try to be involved with activities and your class, and be true to yourself and your friends. Have fun, because high school really will go by fast, so make it the best!

Its amazing how fast everything comes. Before you know it, even if you don’t know anyone your first day of school, you will have friends in all your classes. Just be open to everyone and be yourself.
