First you need to get the equation into

y = mx + b form, where m is the slope and b is the y intercept. You make 7x – 3y = -3 into -3y = -3 – 7x by subtracting the 7x. Next you divide everything by -3 to get y = 1 + 3.5x. Then you switch the 1 and the 3.5x to get y = 3.5x – 1.

So, an easier way to read it is:

1) 7x – 3y = -3

2) -7x and subtract 7x from the -3

3) -3y = -3 – 7x

4) divide everything by – 3

5) y = 1 + 3.5x

6) y = 3.5x – 1

So. the slope is 3.5 the y-intercept is -1.

Hope that helped!

put the equation in slope intercept form:

y=mx+b

m = slope

b = y intercept

that’s basic algebra… you will then get

7x – 3y = -3

subtract 7x to the other side

-3y = -7x – 3

divide that by -3 to make y by itself

y = 7/3x + 1

slope = m = 7/3

y intercept = 1

3y=-7x-3

y=-7/3x-1

y intercept = -1 , because u plug x=0

slope is -7/3

3y=-7x-3

y=-7/3+1

Slope=-7/3
