The formula is 1/2ap. That is 1/2 times the apothem times the perimeter.

So 1/2 * 4 * (5.8)(5)

the area is approximately 58 sq ft.

58.6 if my calculations are correct working on my mental math (: to solve:since the apothem is perpendicular to the sides, multiply the base by height and divide by two. multiply the result by five(number of sides) to find area.
