Drivers Licence Washington??

**Calling all Washington people!!

I’m going to go take my drivers license test, i have had my permit for 7 months. I live in Washington. I live in Jefferson County. My friend who lives in Seattle said I have to take another written test two weeks before I take my Actual driving test to get my license. is this true?

No, it’s not true. In Washington State, the written test is valid for two years so, as long as you passed it within the two years prior to the driving test, you are okay. If it has been more than two years, then you would have to write it again before you could schedule a driving test. Hope that helps!!

Some people take the written test to get their permit, and some just go in with their Driver’s Ed information and can get it without taking the test.

If you friend didn’t take the test the first time, then she would have had to take the written test before the drive test. You shouldn’t have to if you took it before.

You know what? You should check with your local DMV. They can answer questions like that better than I can.
