Does having a Bachelors degree put you at a disadvantage when applying to Dental Hygiene School?
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. I am interested in becoming a dental hygienist. Does having a degree decrease your chance of getting in?

In my class we had girls with BA degrees. One of them was getting financial aid without any problem.
We actually had two girls who were from foreign countries where they used to be dentists! Since they couldn’t transfer their degrees they chose to go into DH instead of going back to dental school. They had the same chance of getting into the program and also got financial aid without any problem.
You might want to make an appointment with the financial aid /student advisor and ask her/him about your situation.
