Do you hate working in groups like me?
I am a senior in college, and I am in yet another class this summer that forces me to do a group project. I have decided that there are too many incompetent people in this world to ever have a group without one. I have never been a group that did not contain at least one person who at best is extra baggage. I always feel like I either have to do all the work and carry other people, or let my grade suffer for their incompetence. Let me work by myself! Anyone have the same feelings?

oh yes, I dont have a problem with working in groups, but when i find i’m working with a bunch of idiots who dont do their share of work i get really frustrated and i would much rather work individually at that time. but thank god most of the group projects i’ve done the teacher has marked individually and those ppl who slack off get low marks since they dont know what the heck they’re supposed to be saying.

Yes, I hate working in groups. Fortunately, I’ve had a couple of profs who gave the option of working alone on group projects. I also feel that I learn more by doing all aspects of a project.

I had that same problem in college and in the work place. I just hated working with a bunch of people, I just prefer working alone. I can work faster and I know what I am doing is correct. Don’t worry, you’re a senior so you won’t have to put up with it much longer.

I can understand your frustration, but depending upon what career you want to go into, it can be good training for the rest of life. Unless you are individually self-employed, most people have to do much of their work as part of a group – it is just hard to avoid, so you might as well learn how.

OMG YES! there’s always that lazy person with excuses right? It’s so hard to get everyone together too! Just remember, you’re doing it for yourself, for YOUR grade.. cuz buddy you and I both know.. we’re not doing it to help ’em bums!
