Do the courses I take affect my chances of winning a local scholarship?
If I take more AP courses, would it increase my chances of winning a local scholarship? I have only taken 3 AP’s thus far. After I received a 2 on my AP Lang. Exam, i decided to not take AP Lit next year.

If it’s based on grades it is great to have AP classes (which helps improve your chances of getting other scholarships). But it really depends on what the scholarship is based on, such as community service or something like that.

It depends on the scholarship. For some scholarships you have to give them your transcript for the application, so they would see what kinds of classes you are taking. If you are applying for a scholarship like this, then I think AP courses would increase your chances.

Check with the counselors at your school. DON’T EVER withhold taking AP classes because of scholarship concerns. If you want to take AP classes, do it. It will always be YOUR education. Education and the opprotunities that you have are like anything in life: If you pass up something you really wanted to do and COULD do it at the time, you’ll be miserable because you didn’t.

Of course it matters. Someone who takes basket weaving 101 would not be as good as someone who takes physics or something like that. The more higher level courses the better.

definite, because of the fact the faculties will think of which you’re rather attracted on your learn and in case you’re taking the ap instructions, college heavily isn’t as perplexing because of the fact you have already got a flavor of what you will learn.
