Mine experience was wonderful. I figured out how to interact with girls and I started smoking dope. It was a long time ago. I graduated in ’58. The rules were a bit different then. It was done on grades. I didn’t have the grades. It took too long to get those important pieces figured out. I got into college by corruption. My step father was important in a way that he could make a phone call and I got a letter of invitation.

The two things I mention above are the two most important skills I developed. They have served me in so many ways it is hard to imagine a life without them. I graduated college with honors. I had those two things from high school figured out. College was really fun.

High school can be frustrating if you let it. However, if you study hard and always do your best in your academics, that will help. Also, be respectful to all adults in the school system. Don’t gossip or carry tales about other people, no matter what, because you will be accused of the originator of the unfavorable remarks (gossip) despite the fact that you didn’t start it. Join clubs at school that you have an interest. Be friendly and polite. Speak to other people even if they don’t speak to you. Smile a lot. Try being happy, most of the time. Seek help from your teachers if you don’t understand concepts taught and don’t be afraid to ask questions. Also, follow the rules, and participate in extracurricular activities (i.e. sports, etc.). Don’t let what others say get you down. Take negative comments with a grain of salt. In other words, ignore them and don’t worry. Things will work out. Don’t associate with people who get into trouble because “you’re known by the company you keep.” Think positive! High school is a place to learn and grow. Hope this helps. Good luck! Remember, everyone eventually has to go through high school, one way or the other, unless they drop out in middle school and become a member of the “uneducated with little or no future.” Keep your chin up–smile!

I absolutely hated high school. The people are mean, the school work was boring and predictable and the social stuff was a nightmare. Good thing, In retrospect it was such a tiny part of my life and those people turned out to be soooo not important.

Mine is very nice. I have many friend and I also be the presidents for many club in my school. I attend many camps since last year and I got many ‘spare parts’ .I also are among the best student in f5. So, high school is not so bad anyway.
