do colleges/universities take freshman year of high school into a lot of consideration?
My freshman year didn’t go that well.. I got C’s because I got lazy. If I were to get 4.0 for the rest of high school, do you think they’d still consider me?

Most colleges will not care that you did not do well in your freshman year. Many people have difficulty making the transition from middle school to high school, and what colleges really look for is signs of improvement and self-enhancement. Join clubs that interest you, volunteer a lot in the community, and aim for at least a B average and you should be an excellent candidate for many colleges (unless you want to go Ivy League, in which case you are going to need a very high GPA and SAT scores over 2000).

when I first examine your question, i presumed you have been going to declare you obtain all C’s your freshman 365 days, and had executed greater suited considering. regularly A’s and a few B’s remains high quality! And, college seems at your common GPA (the only it extremely is on your transcript your senior 365 days, that exhibits all 4 years of highschool) in making admission judgements. stable luck! Kate
