Delta Sigma Theta Question PLEASE HELP!!?

Yes I feel you should attend rush, submit you packet and let the chips fall…..Are you currently in summer school? If so, then that should help improve your gpa. I would also continue to focus on community service. Even if you are not chosen through the first time, it is still an excellent opportunity for my sorors to know that you are interested in joining the sorority. If you first don’t succeed, try try again.
Many of my line sisters did not make it until after trying twice, and one made it on the third time. I have also seen in some cases sorors that were chosen with minimal requirements, (one particular soror was the same situation as yours, she had a 2.59, but two semesters before she joined, she had 3.6 gpa, making the deans list both times) I am saying this to say, you just never know. Although her cumulative g.p.a. was low, she was president of 3 different organizations and have been performing community service non-stop for the last 8 years. Unfortunately her first semester of college, she didn’t do that well due to personal reasons, but she more than made up for it later.
As I stated before, attend rush submit your packet and let the chips fall…
If Delta is in your heart, I would say keep trying. Good luck on your quest to sisterhood!
Personally, I would not vote for a candidate with the bare minimum GPA and “sporadic” public service, regardless of the reasons/excuses given.
I would suggest that you focus on what you actually went to college to do – get a degree. Delta is not going anywhere – if it is meant to be, then it will happen when you get your stuff together.
I would also suggest that you speak with the Deltas you know personally when you have questions, rather than look for random answers on Yahoo.
