Computer and Internet in school?

i come from a school were there are enough computers for every 2.5 students. We benefit a lot from them. Every research project that we have is done on the computer. my school is also a subscriber to many websites that offer reliable information for us to use. we also have this one subscription in wich we just type in information and a properly cited bibliography is made automatically for us. We have portable laptops for every department aswell. Any presentations we do are usually presented through power point and such. Teachers actually got laptops this past year. they can carry them anywhere and are able to submit grades with a click of a button. We have an attendence system were they know where a student is at all times and if they showed up to previous classes. If we ever need anything we can email a teacher and get a response in minutes. Our newer textbooks also come with CD roms instead of wasting paper to make huge bulky books for us to carry home.

i think its a wonderful thing. although the attendence system does get annoying when you try to skip a class!

It is fine for research and school work, but they don’t need to be checking email and chatting at school.
