Competitive salary usually means that when they decide on the salary to offer you, they take into consideration not only your education, work experience and other pertinent qualifications, but the salary range for similar positions in the area and try to meet or exceed it, sometimes by offering other perks or bonuses. Often times it is used simply as a way to get more candidates for a position, so if you are offered a job with the employer, be sure to do homework on the salaries for the position in your area.

16 is a pretty good age. I train at miletich in houston and we have a 16 year old who trains with us. However like the others have stated if you only train in stand up (boxing) you are wasting your time.Get into a jui jitsu class..if your school has a wrestling team;join.Take a muay thai or tae kwon do class to work on your kicks and knees. If you pay attention to the top fighters in the UFC,WEC,or Elite XC..(with the exception of George St. Pierre)..they generally have one area where of expertise.(B.J. Penn has fantastic jitsu, Anderson Sylvia practiced Muay Thai..Matt Hughes was a wrestler. Urijah Faber was a wrestler). Boxing is only the beginning. Also the stance in boxing is more squared where the stance in MMA is a “staggered stance”
