College applications help???

It says that you can turn in just one application for all the Universities of California. So would you still get a response from each different university??? Also, does that application also count for others within the universities, such as, Haas School of Business in Berkeley University?

If you go to any UC’s, please tell me which one, and how much you like it. I would really love to be able to go to Berkeley. Any tips would help.

Yes you will get your responses from all the UC’s you apply to. You have to remember that UC’s are different from CSU’s and both the applications are different. There should be a space in the application where you put down your major. If you do not have one yet, then you can stay undecided. The application applies to the main school in general. If you picked a major for Berkeley and they accept you, then you are admitted to the school that is responsible of that major. For example you chose business as your major and you did get accepted, then you will go and study at Hass School of Business for your undergraduate courses.Your GE classes are usually spread out around the campus. In your first two years, it is usually the general education courses, It is not until your junior year, where you do go into the actual major course.

Aside from worrying about the application, you must also remember to follow the A through G requirements, GPA qualifications, and take your required tests (SAT Reasoning/SAT Subject/Act).

Good Luck!

You receive different responses from different universities–it’s just that when you turn in one app, you check which ones you would like to apply… at least I think that’s how it was done last year…

When it comes to different schools, I doubt you can apply for individual colleges within the university–for example in Berkeley, you would be applying for that specific major (business) when you are a junior or something. I don’t believe you start off being enrolled in Hass… My friend just went through his first year at Berkeley and said he’d wanted to be enrolled in that program…

I was accepted last year but didn’t go to Berkeley. I visited the campus a couple of times and found that the atmosphere was way to oppressing. Kids who study + party are probably going to like UCLA better, I’ve heard… Being the top UC, Berkeley pushes its students pretty hard. Probably not so bad the first year, but as you progress through your college years, everyone will be competing for the major they want… In any case, I hope this helped a bit. Good luck with the apps.

You would still get a seperate response from each university. The application service should list the participating universities. Some universities although they take the application also require furture applications, but they would state that.
