Chem major?

I want to major in chemistry. What classes would I take and how long?

Freshman year: General chemistry and lab (both semesters)

Sophomore year: Organic chemistry and lab (both semesters), and analytical chemistry and lab

Junior Year: Physical chemistry and lab (2 semesters), plus inorganic chemistry and lab

Senior Year: Two or three electives, including research.

The first answer was basically correct, but you also have to take all the other subjects as well!

English, Poly Sci, some Arts, College Math, Calculus

You need 40 units related to your major (science, Chemistry, Math) and 80 units releasted to general subjects.

Depends on the college. My school requires:

1 year of general chemistry & labs

1 year of organic chemistry & labs

1 year of physical chemistry & labs

1 elective class

There are some pre-reqs for those classes, including math and physics.
