Can you please make these sentence look more formal? Thanks?

IDIC project will not use the equipment in the attached list because IDIC Project has ended on 13 July 2007. It is hoped that the equipment from the project would be able to help the deposit guaranteeing Institution to enhance its performance in the future. We would like to ask for your approval to throw away the other equipment that cannot be used anymore.

Those are awkward, vague sentences. Can the wording be rearranged?

How about:

The IDIC Project ended on July 13th, 2007 and has no further use for the equipment in the attached list. We would like your approval to dispose of equipment still in our possession which we can no longer make use of. We hope the Institution which is guaranteeing deposits will in future be able to use the equipment to enhance its performance.

The IDIC Project ended 13 July 2007, and unused equipment is contained on the attached list. Useful equipment from the project can be used to enhance the deposit-guaranteeing Institute in their performances in the future. Compromised equipment, which cannot be used again, needs to be discarded and permission to do so must be rendered.

It looks fine to me, but I would replace “it is hoped” with “we hope.” When a speech is more emotional, it attracts more attention.
