Can someone refresh my math skills on this one? Please show the work so I can understand it better, thanks.?

first you have to find a common denominator between the 3, the 5, and the 10. It looks like the lowest common denominator would be 30. So,

1/3 x 10/10 = 10/30

1/5 x 6/6 = 6/30

1/10 x 3/3 = 3/30 …..now add these up:

19/30 then you would reduce but it does not reduce any further so that is your answer.

1/3 + 1/5 + 1/10 = 3/18

hello! you have to find a common multiple of 3,5 and 10. the first common multiple is 3*10=30

then you multiply each fraction so the denominator equals 30

1/3*10+1/5*6+1/10*3=10/30+6/30+3/30=19/30

you have to find a common multiple because the fractions can be add only if you have the same denominator.

and: 1/3=2/6=3/9 becouse i multiplyed the first fraction by 2 and 3. hope you get it 😉

now add the numerators

10/30 +6/30+3/30 = 19/30

take the LCM[least common mean] of the denominators,3,5,10.It works out to be 30 in this case[30 is the smallest number which can be divided by 3,5 and 10 individually]Take denominator of first fraction ie 3 and divide 30 by it and we get 10.Similarly we shall get 6 and 3 for other fractions.Sum up these ie 10+6+3=19.The numerator ie the top number is now 19 and the bottom number[denominator] is 30.So the answer becomes =19/30[19 divided by 30].It’s really very very easy.By the way,Hope you are not pulling people’s legs,not that I mind.All the best.
