Can I make a difference by running for my schools board of education?
I am not sure what this job would require of me, but I think I could help make a difference. Does anyone know what my responsibilities would be as a board member? Can I really help by bringing the opinion of a disabled childs Mom to the table?

What school boards need is former educators. It’s really hard on the schools/administration/educators when people who don’t really understand what goes on day-to-day are making decisions that affect the effectiveness of a district. Attend the meetings and let your voice be heard! Leave the seats open for those who understand the potential disaster that can result from a simple ‘vote.’
