Can i do this???
I live in germany and i go to german school and i’m planing on going to a phisical thereapy school in germany !! and i don’t want to stay here i want to go to america well can i like open my own practice?? or do i have to do another test !!!! WHAT ?!
i really don’t know if anybody knows something about this or knows a site i can check please tell me!!!!!!

im pretty sure that if you are certified in Germany when you come to the US you have to take an exam that allows you to practice therapy here. as for opening your own practice, sure thats possible as long as you’re fully licensed and everything. but no you wont have to re-do school or anything.

Congratulations for thinking ahead! Since you have good English and an ability to use the internet, I’d suggest that you locate the professional association of physical therapists or the state licensing board for physical therapists in the state where you would like to live. I would guess that most of the 50 states will have one of each, a professional association and a licensing agency. They will surely be able to link you up with an American physical therapist who would be delighted to help you.

best off to ask your school advisor. Are you in high school or college?
If you’re still in high school, you have to apply to american colleges as a foreign student. You may have to take a TOFL test.
